On September 23th, 2019, Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Center announced 12th batch of quota list of solid waste restricted to import, approving a total of 184,630 tons, including 31,658 tons of copper scrap, 32,940 tons of aluminum scrap, 118,262 tons of scrap paper and 1,770 tons of scrap ferrous.
In the 12th batch of quota list, total approved imports of copper scrap was 31,658 tons, involving 31 enterprises, mainly distributed in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Fujian and other areas. The approved imports of copper scrap in the first three batches was 240,429 tons, 124,450 tons and 87,680 tons. Compared with the first three batches, the approval imports decreased significantly. Up to now, solid waste restricted to import has implemented since July 1st, the total approved imports of physical quantity of copper scrap was 484,217 tons, involving 166 enterprises, distributed in 10 provinces, of which Zhejiang accounted for the highest proportion, reaching more than 50%, followed by Guangdong, Jiangxi, Shandong, etc.
In the 12th batch of quota list, total approved imports of aluminum scrap was 32,940 tons, involving 9 enterprises, mainly distributed in Zhejiang, Guangdong. The approved imports of aluminum scrap in the first three batches was 54,256 tons, 306,930 tons and 11,290 tons. Compared with the first three batches, the approval imports decreased significantly. Up to now, solid waste restricted to import has implemented since July 1st, the total approved imports of physical quantity of aluminum scrap was 405,416 tons, involving 73 enterprises, distributed in 6 provinces, of which Guangdong accounted for the highest proportion, reaching more than 69%, followed by Zhejiang, Tianjin, etc.
Total 7 enterprises obtained copper scrap and aluminum scrap approval.
